At Last the wait is over as promised to all
the visitors of mobapps that there will be some good applications on the
which are totally developed in PyS60. Here is the first featured
application. Congrats to the author of the featured applications and we all
hope that they will continue to build more and more such kind of
application.
SpyPhone(BabyPhone)
This is the first of its kind application
where audio processing has been done using Python for S60.
This is an application which turns your device
into an spy. The device will alert you whenever something unusual happens
around.
The basic setup is simple. Set the "agent" -
that’s the contact’s telephone number that should be informed in the case of
an emergency. Next, place the phone at the place that you want to monitor,
for example next to a baby. From now on, the application will constantly
monitor the audio level of its surroundings. If they exceed a pre-defined
threshold, the phone will automatically call the agent. As a normal voice
call is made, you can now hear the surroundings of the phone in order to
judge if something serious is happening.
The application has been developed by Andreas
Jakl and his students from Hagenberg university, Austria congratulations to
them.

X-SMS V 1.0

X-sms is freeware developed in PyS60. X-sms
reads all your inbox and creates a back up file in the memory of your S60
device. Currently the simple text and html file formats are supported
by the X-sms application but in future the author is planning to include
more file formats which includes the doc and pdf formats. So stay tuned for
the complete version of X-sms.
The X-sms application is developed for both
S60 2nd and 3rd edition devices. You can download the application and know

SajiOS
If you are bored up from the as usual S60 UI
here is something different from you. Sajid Ali had developed a cool
application known as SajiOS. SajiOS is actually an application
launcher with a different and cool GUI. SajiOS is developed using flash lite
and Python for S60.
Features in SajiOS:
when you start SajiOS for the first time it
will ask you for username and password. Moreover you can also choose your
user icon.
Again each time you start the SajiOS you will
get a login screen where you have to enter your created username and
password.
To have a feel like desktop the start screen
is just like windows where you can have your own customized applications.
The control panel of the SajiOS is awesome
using the control panel one can change the wallpaper, themes and can apply
different kind of effects.
Flash Sms is a very nice new feature. Flash
SMS are a kind of new message in which they gets automatically opened up at
the user end and then vanishes on pressing the back key. SajiOS can be used
to send flash sms.
Installation and working of SajiOS is very
simple and easy one can download the installable file from
here and then get going.
The only disadvantage with SajiOS is the
application is presently available only for S60 2nd edition phones but good
news is that Sajid is working on porting the application to 3rd edition
devices and soon that will available.
